The Department of Architecture is a prominent educational, methodological, and research center in Western Ukraine. It is staffed with highly qualified academic personnel and remains open to cooperation with national and international partners in the training of future architects, planners, and researchers in the field of architecture.

The Department serves as a foundation for preparing specialists in architectural, spatial, and planning development of rural territories. It unites a community firmly oriented toward the traditional architectural values of the Ukrainian village. At a time of active rural development in Ukraine—marked by the strong influence of urban culture and that of foreign states—it is vital to preserve the unique character of Ukrainian rural settlements, shaped by architectural and construction traditions.

The faculty, composed of professionals, patriots, and dedicated individuals, is capable of developing a comprehensive approach to addressing the challenges of rural areas while safeguarding their identity in the era of globalization and cultural internationalization.

Students of the Department regularly participate in international scientific and practical conferences, round tables, and seminars, receiving certificates of recognition and awards in various categories for their active engagement. Under the Educational and Professional Program Architecture and Urban Planning, students have published 26 research articles and delivered 44 conference presentations.
