The Faculty of Management, Economics and Law, together with the university, has consistently addressed scientific, pedagogical, educational, and outreach tasks. At every stage of its development, it has played a significant role in the university’s life, serving as a leading academic and methodological center in the field of agrarian economics and economic science in general.

The development of the faculty has been closely linked with the evolution of economic science and society. Under these conditions, the Faculty of Economics of Lviv National Agrarian University prepares highly competent specialists capable of offering innovative solutions and contributing to the transformation of the country’s social and economic foundations. This mission is driven by Ukraine’s need for integration into the European and global community. To this end, the educational process is carried out in accordance with the credit-modular system. Over the decades, the faculty has fostered a strong academic culture, democratic values, and humanistic relations between students and lecturers, which have ensured its present-day success.

At the turn of the millennium, the most notable features of the faculty’s development included advanced scientific research, the individualization and intellectualization of the educational process, and the revival of university traditions. As a result, today the Faculty of Economics of Lviv National Agrarian University is recognized as one of Ukraine’s leading centers for training highly qualified economists. An important step in shaping the educational process was the introduction of a tiered system of higher education with the academic levels of Bachelor, Specialist, and Master. Specialist training is conducted in the fields of Management of Organizations, Accounting and Auditing, Enterprise Economics, Finance and Credit, and International Economics. The faculty is actively engaged in the Bologna Process, which ensures equal participation in the European higher education area.

The high quality of training is supported by the continuous improvement of curricula to meet societal needs and scientific progress, the publication of new-generation textbooks, the integration of interactive teaching methods, and the close connection between education and practice. To align the system of higher economic education with international standards, the faculty has implemented the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), expanded the number of elective courses, enhanced curriculum content, introduced new disciplines, adjusted the balance between classroom and independent learning, adopted innovative teaching methods, expanded the role of professional foreign language instruction, introduced a modern system of student assessment, strengthened methodological support, and improved the quality of final qualification projects.
