The modern socio-political processes in Ukraine, along with the globalization of risks that recognize neither borders nor established norms and rules, present new and complex organizational and managerial challenges for the academic staff, postgraduate students, undergraduates, and administrative personnel of our institution. To successfully meet these challenges and remain competitive at the international level among leading universities worldwide, we must strive to become more effective, successful, and adaptable.
In today’s educational market, competitiveness and the pursuit of excellence are defining factors, requiring the adoption of innovative and progressive approaches in all areas of activity. The university’s readiness for such transformations and the collective ability to implement them provide an opportunity to elevate its operations to a qualitatively new level, thereby improving the quality of life and well-being of its staff.
Accordingly, one of our core objectives is to develop a truly European-level university through ensuring the quality of education, fostering innovation, and maintaining a competitive environment. Achieving this goal involves the creation of an academic community of educators and students at Stepan Gzhytskyi Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies that embodies the principles of dialogue, mutual respect, cooperation, openness, adherence to law, and respect for the traditions and history of our Alma Mater, while promoting integration into the European and global educational and research space.
Thus, the expansion of international cooperation serves as one of the key instruments for fulfilling these objectives.
International collaboration has always been, and continues to be, among the top strategic priorities of Stepan Gzhytskyi Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies. It constitutes an integral part of the University’s life and develops within the broader framework of Ukraine’s integration into the global system of higher education.
Erasmus+
Erasmus+ is the European Union’s international cooperation programme in the fields of education, youth, and sport. The Programme promotes opportunities for learning and academic mobility, the implementation of projects and partnerships, as well as the development of strategies and cooperation in education and youth work.
On 25 March 2021, the European Commission officially launched the new phase of the Erasmus+ Programme for 2021–2027.
With a budget exceeding €28 billion, the renewed Programme is not only more international in scope but also more inclusive, digital, and environmentally sustainable.
