Wroclaw is a charming city in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship of Poland. I was so lucky to spend my Erasmus time here. The city has a rich architectural heritage and ancient history. You can visit many unique architectural monuments that combine different European styles. Market Square - the heart of Wroclaw. The main building is the Town Hall, which decorates the city and gives it grandeur.
However, I fell in love with this city not only because of the richness of architecture, culture, and history but above all because of the people. Poles are incredible. They are sincere, cheerful, friendly, and hospitable. And now, in such a difficult time for us, Ukrainians, they are ready to lend us a helping hand and support us not only in word but also in deed. Hundreds of Ukrainian refugees found refuge in Polish homes, and tons of humanitarian aid were sent to our land. Rallies, meetings, and actions in support of Ukraine have taken place in the center of Wroclaw since the beginning of the war. Events are still taking place. Ukrainian music is heard everywhere, and a blue and yellow flag hangs on almost every building. Poles are very sympathetic and open-hearted. Thanks to this, every Ukrainian can feel at home. Such invaluable and important support is felt in every look, smile, touch, and word.
Wroclaw is a fascinating city because it is energetic and modern. This is exactly what students do. Young people are forced to move faster and wake up the city before dawn. Wroclaw can be called a student city because people come here to study from all over the world. Accordingly, there is no shortage of educational institutions here either. The city is ready to give a wonderful European education to all those who are eager to learn. The University of Natural Sciences in Wroclaw became my temple of knowledge during my stay in the city. Studying here is an incredible experience because there is an opportunity to study in English, attend interesting lectures and experience everything in practice. A well-thought-out system of study and each student can make an individual schedule. New and modern equipment is very helpful and provides many opportunities for veterinarians to save their patients. While studying at the university, I had the chance to take part in a student conference, which was very interesting and informative. There was also a capability to take a four-week internship at the Departments of Reproduction, Surgery of Animals, and Infectious and Internal Diseases of Animals. Teachers are always there, watching every move, helping to correct mistakes, and providing advice. But, in addition to the curriculum, the University of Natural Sciences offers to join many cultural sections and events. The Polish folk dance group Jedliniok is active, often entertaining students and every one with its incredible performances.
The university provides all students with accommodation in dormitories. The dormitory "Paradise" became my home during my stay in Wroclaw. The name itself speaks for itself. Living there is a real pleasure. Very convenient location, close to the university. Beautiful, quiet area of the city, near the park and the river Oder.
The University of Natural Sciences in Wroclaw is an excellent educational institution recognized throughout Europe. Provides many opportunities and good employment in the future.
Thanks to the Erasmus + program, I managed to meet many incredible people from all over Europe. These impressions I received while in Wroclaw cannot be described in words. Acquaintances with different cultures, traditions, and customs. Here everyone is unique and brought a piece of their native land to Poland. It was very interesting to observe different mentalities, learn more about each other and share impressions. How exciting it is to have friends from many parts of the world: France, Spain, the Netherlands, Greece, Turkey, Norway, Bulgaria, the USA, Poland, and Ukraine. Special thanks to all the management of this program in Wroclaw for a well-organized process of learning and recreation. An interesting program was developed for us with a lot of unforgettable events. Trips to museums, theaters, movies, tours, discos, travel, concerts, and more. Thank you very much for your great work and dedication.
Thanks to the Stepan Gzhytskyi National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology of Lviv, I was able to make such an unforgettable journey. This adventure will be remembered for a lifetime. I am grateful for all the help and invaluable experience I had the opportunity to gain. Learning combined with travel, what could be better?!
