The faculty of the Department of Epizootiology deliver lectures and conduct practical sessions in the following courses:

• Epizootiology and Infectious Diseases (for Master’s students, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine),
• Epizootiology and Diagnostic Procedures System (for Master’s students, Specialized Program, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine),
• State Veterinary-Sanitary Control and Supervision (for Master’s students, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine),
• State Veterinary-Sanitary Supervision in Compliance with OIE Requirements (for Master’s students, Faculty of Food Technology and Animal Husbandry),
• Veterinary Service (Organization and Economics of Public and Private Veterinary Practice) (for Master’s students, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine),
• Infectious Diseases of Dogs and Cats (for Master’s students, Specialized Program, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine).

Currently, in addition to supporting the educational process, the Department’s staff conduct extensive research focused on the advanced study of epizootiology and the diagnosis of tuberculosis and leukemia in the Western region of Ukraine.

Their research is grounded in the current state of veterinary medicine and addresses key issues in the prevention of the most common infectious diseases of animals and poultry. In recent years, particular attention has been given to the diagnosis, treatment, and immunoprophylaxis of gastrointestinal diseases in young animals of bacterial and viral origin. Considering the rapid development of immunology, the Department’s staff strive to conduct their studies at a high scientific level to enhance the immune protection of animals.
